ما هو داء لايم ؟

داء لايم أو التهاب مفاصل لايم أو داء لايم هو أحد الأمراض التي تسببها بكتريا بوريليا بيرجدورفيري Borrelia burgdorferi, و التي تنتقل عن طريق قرصة (لدغة) القراد الصلب ticks (إكسودس ريسيناس). و بينما يعتبر الجلد، الجهاز العصبي المركزي، القلب و أعضاء أخرى هي المستهدفة بالاصابة ببكتريا البوريليا بيرجدورفيري فان مرض لايم يصيب المفاصل فقط في أغلب الحالات. و مع ذلك فإنه قد يصاب المريض ببعض الطفح الجلدي المتنقل و هذا طفح جلدي أحمر يتسع حول موضع عضة القراد. و في أحيان نادرة، قد تتطور بعض حالات مرض لايم و تشمل الإصابة الجهاز العصبي المركزي. و وأول ما وصف داء لايم كان ذلك في الولايات المتحدة عام 1975 , جميع الحقوق محفوظة - عيادة طب الأطفال Copyright ©childclinic.net

هل هناك تطعيم او لقاح لمرض داء لايم ؟

قامت شركة GlaxoSmithKline عام 1998 بانتاج لقاد داء لايم LYMErix , و لكنها توقف عن انتاجه عام 2002 بسبب قلة الطلب على هذا التطعيم.

ما هي الآثار الجانبية التي سجلت بعد تلقي تطعيم ولقاح داء لايم ؟

لم تحدث آثار جانبية عن معظم من تلقوا تطعيم ولقاح داء لايم , و عبد البعض سجلت الآثار الجانبية التالية :
